Dear Reader,

I have spent my filmmaking career waiting to tell the sweeping, romantic love story between two women - and THE OTHER WAR arrived. An admirer of Sarah Walker and Jess De Gouw, I relish this opportunity to develop the psychological and visual world of the film.

THE OTHER WAR would be the first epic Australian, romantic lesbian love story in cinema. With the emotional spirit of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, the visceral beauty of Paul Thomas Anderson (THERE WILL BE BLOOD) and the grounded lyricism of Chloé Zhao (NOMADLAND), THE OTHER WAR carves a unique path in Australian cinema.

A film about undeniable connection, grief, healing and love. Against the brutality of the Second World War, the unforgettable romance between Lil and Med will change the path they walk and how they walk it. Evocative, visceral, atmospheric and performance-driven - THE OTHER WAR offers the opportunity to deepen my exploration of performance and visual style.

I am very inspired by the working process of Chloé Zhao, allowing for spontaneous moments to occur and creating a space to explore. It is this authenticity and emotional truth that interests me, surrounded by the spectacular landscape of 1940’s Western Australia.

On this website, I begin the journey of communicating the vision for the film.
